Pass Basic and Final Theory tests easily
The expected methods of learning for these exams are through studying of the Official Handbook. In the old days, some resourceful people could get their hands on “past year papers” and study up on those. We of the internet generation are even luckier.
Short Story:
Head over to www.singaporetests.com for a database of questions that are likely to be asked during the exam.
Long Story:
The Basic and Final Theory handbooks cover many aspects of driving. But tests never cover everything. The shortcut way to study for any test is always to know the test questions in advanced.
Here is where singaporetests.com comes in. This site offers you 2 alternative methods of studying.
1. Download an e-book with all the information you need to pass the exams. It’s condensed and leaves out the useless information from the Official Handbook.
2. Sign up for Test Engine, a mock test which gives you access to their huge database of questions that have came out in the past. It’s like doing a 10-year series.
I highly recommend using the Test Engine. For Basic Theory there are, at this point of writing, 403 questions. You can deduce for yourself how much an advantage you have from knowing the possible questions that will be set.
From personal experience, after running through the Test Engine twice, I was able to complete and pass the Basic Theory test within 10 of the 50 minutes. I shall report again when I apply the same method for the Final Theory test.
Update: Just took my Final Theory. Passed easily again also in 10 minutes. Great stuff.
